2017 Corvette Grand Sport unveiled with 460 hp

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2017 Corvette Grand Sport at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

The Corvette Grand Sport features a Z06-inspired grille and wider rear fenders. The model has also been equipped with unique 19- and 20-inch wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

 

Bigger changes occur underneath the skin as engineers installed a high-performance Brembo braking system, magnetic ride control, and a retuned suspension with special springs and new stabilizer bars. The Grand Sport has also been equipped with an electronic limited-slip rear differential.

 

Power is provided by a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that produces 460 horsepower. It is connected to a seven-speed manual transmission but an eight-speed automatic is also available as an option.

 

Buyers look for something more extreme will be able to equip the car with a Z07 performance package. It includes a carbon fiber body kit, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires.

 

The model also has a unique interior with Tension Blue leather and suede upholstery as well as a "three-dimensional representation of an original Grand Sport race car" embossed in the headrests.

 

The Corvette Grand Sport coupe and convertible will go on sale in the United States this summer, while European sales will begin in the fall.
