Lotus Exige Sport 350 Roadster unveiled with 345 hp

Lotus has staged the world debut of the Exige Sport 350 Roadster at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

Following in the footsteps of the coupe variant, the roadster has been equipped with an assortment of lightweight components including a lithium-ion battery, a louvered tailgate panel, and lightweight engine mounts.

 

The model can also be equipped with an assortment of optional components including forged alloy wheels and a Carbon Aero Pack that includes a carbon fiber front splitter, a carbon fiber rear wing, and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. When all the boxes are ticked, the model weighs 2,392 pounds.

 

Power is provided by a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 345 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It is connected to a "heavily revised" six-speed manual transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 150 mph.

 

Drivers who would rather sit back and enjoy the ride can opt for an optional six-speed automatic transmission. It includes steering wheel mounted paddle shifters which allow the driver to get in on the action.
