Bentley Mulsanne facelift visits Geneva with EWB model
Bentley has on display these days in Geneva the facelifted Mulsanne range which has gained a new member.
Along with the introduction of a mid-cycle facelift, Bentley is diversifying the Mulsanne lineup by adding an even more luxurious version that comes with an extended wheelbase. It adds almost ten inches (250 mm) of legroom in the back where there are now reclining seats. The Mulsanne EWB also gets a bespoke rear center console, rear folding tables and a bigger sunroof.
The facelift for the standard Mulsanne and Mulsanne Speed has its strong and weak points, as although we like that the headlight clusters are now all in line, the chrome finish on all of the front grilles is a bit too much. You will notice a “B” theme for the lower front and side vents, as well as at the back for the new taillights.
In terms of power, the regular Mulsanne along with its stretched sibling will share a biturbo 6.75-liter V8 packing 505 horsepower (377 kilowatts) and 752 pound-feet (1,020 newton meters) of torque. Go for the Mulsanne Speed and output raises to 530 hp (395 kW) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) which is enough for a 0-60 mph (0-96 kph) sprint in 4.8 seconds and a 190-mph top speed.
The interior is as luxurious as ever, but if you want to go all out, the one-off Mulsanne Grand Limousine Mulliner with its six seats is the one to get. The rear seats are facing each other and the car comes with a bespoke HVAC system by Mulliner along with a soft drink cabinet, bottle cooler, and even an intercom.
