2015 BMW 2-Series Convertible spied topless
BMW is putting the finishing touches on the 2-Series Convertible as ours spies have caught a lightly camouflaged prototype at the company's Nürburgring technical center.
Following in the footsteps of the 2-Series Coupe, the cabrio has a familiar design but eschews the fixed roof for a retractable soft top. The model also has deck lid-mounted antenna and some minor modifications to accommodate the retractable roof.
Engine options will carryover from the coupe so expect a variety of options including:
A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with outputs of 184 PS (135 kW) and 245 PS (180 kW)
A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six with 326 PS (240 kW) and 450 Nm (322 lb-ft) of torque
A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel with outputs of 143 PS (105 kW), 184 PS (135 kW) and 218 PS (160 kW)
