Pricing kicks off at $25,850 for a base Alltrack S equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, while selecting the optional six-speed dual-clutch automatic bumps the bill up to $26,950. The list of standard features includes a 6.5-inch touch screen that runs Volkswagen's MIB II infotainment system, a rear-view camera, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, LED daytime running lights, and leatherette upholstery.

Next up is the Alltrack SE, which costs $29,430 with a manual transmission and $30,530 with an automatic transmission. It receives automatic headlights, a push-button ignition, keyless entry, and a Fender audio system.

Finally, the range-topping Alltrack SEL starts at $32,890. Exclusively offered with two pedals, it gains niceties such as a 12-way power driver's seat, dual-zone automatic A/C, and navigation.

All versions of the Alltrack regardless of trim level use a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and 199 pound-feet of torque from 1,600 rpm. It spins all four wheels via Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack will go on sale nationwide in the coming weeks, and buyers will need to add a mandatory $820 destination charge to all of the aforementioned price figures.
