Cadillac global sales surge by 33 percent in November

General Motors is celebrating another month of stellar global sales growth for its Cadillac brand.

Deliveries surged by 32.8 percent in November, representing the sixth consecutive month of double-digit growth. Gains for the last five months have all exceeded 20 percent.

China is by far Cadillac's strongest market in terms of growth volume this year, with a nearly 70 percent jump compared to November 2015. If the trend continues, the world's largest automotive market will soon become Cadillac's top market. The US led China by less than 1,900 units last month.

In the US, November numbers were up by 14.5 percent but Cadillac is still down by 3.8 percent for the year. The Escalade is still a strong seller in the domestic market, rising by 24 percent, while the all-new XT5 crossover experienced its best sales month since arriving in showrooms early this year.
