现行版宝马X3上市已经大约六年了，宝马正在开发新一代X3。最新报道称新车将于明年8月发布。新一代X3将于明年8月27日在美国斯帕腾伯格工厂投产，该厂还将生产X7旗舰级SUV。除了这家工厂，宝马还将在南非Rosslyn工厂组装2018款X3以减轻美国工厂的压力。预计该车将于2018年3月上市，新车比现行版略大。虽然车身更大，但据报道，车重将降低100公斤。不过不要指望动力系统会有很大变化，新车仍将搭载一系列四缸和六缸涡轮汽油和柴油引擎。在新车生命周期后半程，宝马还将增加不少于三款高性能车型，宝马M40i/M40d以及顶级款X3 M，后者功率约为500马力。另外，宝马还计划推出一款纯电动版X3，该车将在2020年底发布。
2018 BMW X3 not to be revealed until August 2017
The current generation of the BMW X3 has been on the market for roughly six years, and the Bavarian brand is going to give it a well-deserved retirement soon when the all-new X3 arrives. This won’t happen until the summer of next year though, as a new report indicates the official debut of the car is planned for August 2017.
Production of the vehicle is scheduled to start on August 27 at the company’s Spartanburg factory in United States, where also the flagship X7 SUV will be manufactured. BMW will also assemble the 2018 X3 at its Rosslyn factory in South Africa to ease the pressure on the American facility.
Expected to go on sale in March 2018, the new X3 will be slightly bigger than the current model. Despite the minor bump in size, it will be lighter by up to 220 pounds (100 kilograms), according to some sources. Don’t expect major changes in the engine lineup, as the premium SUV will continue to be offered with a range of four- and six-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel motors.
Later during the vehicle’s lifecycle BMW will add no less than three performance variants - the warm M40i and M40d duo, and the range-topping X3 M with around 500 horsepower. Also, the Bavarian brand has already announced it has plans for a pure electric version of the X3 due to arrive by the end of the decade.
