Honda unveils Honda CR-V Custom Concept ahead of Auto Salon
Honda has revealed an image of a modified CR-V concept ahead of its debut at the 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon.
The Honda CR-V Custom Concept is said to preview a new CR-V variant that will go on sale in 2018, likely for the Japan market only. It differs from the standard CR-V with a sportier look overall, featuring a redesigned face and, presumably, rear, though Honda did not release an image of it.
Going from the single photo, it appears to eschew the chrome grille for a blacked out honeycomb pattern, with a smoke chrome surround and H logo. The lower bumper area has been completely redesigned, with a large intake graphic that extends to the corners of the fascia. LED fog lamps flank the intake.
The rocker panels appear to be blacked out too, as is the roof panel. Even the taillights seem to be smoked, while a roof spoiler is visible as well. The mirrors appear to have a silver motif, and the wheels are blacked out.
There's no word whether the suspension has been altered. The Tokyo Auto Salon, a showcase of custom cars and bikes, opens January 12, 2018.
