Bedeo, an Electric car company, has agreed to buy Protean Electric, a UK start-up, from the automotive arm of China's Evergrande Group. The deal will help Europe-focused Bedeo expand into Asia and the US. Bedeo provides light commercial vehicles and zero-emission transportation technology, while Protean produces hub motor technology for electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and commercial vans.
