马来西亚设计师Theophilus Chin近日绘制了奔驰AMG GT4合成图，该车竞争车型包括第二代保时捷Panamera。从图片看，该车显然基于AMG GT，它的车身更长，后车门和向下倾斜的车顶保持了侧面顺滑的轮廓，不过车身尺寸有所变化。该车将于2018年底或2019年初上市，很显然基于下一代CLS（该车将更名为CLE），因此这两款车的很多硬件都与奔驰即将发布的W213 E级车共享。不过，该车将采用独立的外观设计，据传将采用专属后翼子板，保险杠和车门。更重要的是，其照明系统也将独立开发，另外据传将采用更注重实用性的尾门，行李箱容积将进一步增加。至于动力系统，据传将搭载新的2.9升V6直列六缸涡轮柴油引擎，功率约为223千瓦/300马力，而高性能版本功率约为298千瓦/400马力。除了这两个版本外，奔驰还将推出采用电子涡轮六缸引擎的车型，功率达到339千瓦/455马力，V8版本功率415千瓦/557马力和436千瓦/585马力。奔驰明年或2017年可能推出四门四座概念车。

 

Panamera-fighting 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT4 speculatively rendered

Theophilus Chin has decided to share his vision of the rumored Mercedes-AMG GT4 which will compete with the second-gen Porsche Panamera.

 

The attached digital illustrations are obviously based on the AMG GT and show a longer body with rear doors and a sloped roofline maintaining the model's sleekness despite the size changes. The car is believed to hit dealerships by the end of 2018 or early 2019 and will apparently be based on the next generation CLS (could be renamed CLE) so it will share many of the hardware bits and pieces with the upcoming E-Class W213.

 

However, it will boast a standalone design and according to the latest gossip it's getting bespoke quarter panels, bumpers and doors. Moreover, the lighting clusters will also be developed specifically for this model which is also said to receive a practical tailgate and possibly a bigger trunk to make it a more practical grand tourer.

 

The engine lineup will be plentiful as sources close to Mercedes-AMG are saying there's going to be a new 2.9-liter turbodiesel inline-six with approximately 300 bhp (223 kW) along with a high-output version rated at an estimated 400 bhp (298 kW). Interestingly, there will apparently be an electrified six-cylinder turbo pushing out 455 bhp (339 kW) followed by a V8 duo with 557 bhp (415 kW) and 585 bhp (436 kW).

 

Don't be too surprised if the four-door, four-seater AMG GT will show up in conceptual form sometime next year or in 2017.
